How do you best define Krav Maga?

Krav Maga is a practical self-defense system developed for the Israeli military that focuses on real-world scenarios and quick, effective techniques.

Do I need experience to get started?

No prior experience is necessary! Our classes are designed for beginners as well as advanced practitioners.

How is Krav Maga different from other martial arts?

Krav Maga focuses on practical self-defense rather than competition or traditional forms or stances. It is designed to prepare you for real-life threats.

Will I get fit through Krav Maga training?

Absolutely! Our classes are tailored to accommodate all fitness levels, and you can progress at your own pace. Krav Maga improves strength, endurance, coordination, and overall fitness while teaching you life-saving techniques.

How long does it take to become proficient in Krav Maga?

This depends on your dedication and practice frequency, but many students notice improvements in their skills within a few months.

Is Krav Maga safe to learn?

Yes, our instructors prioritise safety. Classes include controlled environments with protective gear when necessary.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No long-term contracts are required. We offer two flexible membership options: monthly or 3 months membership, with no lock in periods (see memberships).

Can I join if I have a health condition or past injury?

We recommend consulting your doctor first, but many people with health concerns can participate. Let us know in advance, and we’ll adapt the training to your needs.

Do you offer certifications or belt systems?

Yes, we follow a structured program that includes levels of progression and certifications.

What age groups can join?

The adult classes are for those of 15 years +. We do not offer kid’s classes at the moment.

How long are the classes?

Standard classes are 60 minutes long, Saturday sessions are of 2hrs. We run a session every 3rd Saturday of the month.

How do I sign up?

Head over to our memberships page, choose one, sign up and we will see you at training !

Is there sparring involved?

Yes – we start to introduce you to sparring from the first lesson. We have a structured fight programme to help you develop your skills in this area, but as with all things in the club you work at your own level allowing you to develop your proficiency accordingly.

Will I get hurt in training?

While Krav Maga involves physical activity, we minimise risks by teaching techniques with care and ensuring proper warm-ups and cool-downs.
